Thanks for the Privilege

As I conclude my tenure as your president, I am filled with gratitude and pride for the remarkable journey we have undertaken together. It has been an honor to serve such a dedicated and passionate group of professionals committed to advancing the goals of ASSE.

Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the members of our society. Your unwavering support, enthusiasm and engagement have been the cornerstone of our success. Your commitment to our mission and your willingness to share knowledge and expertise have strengthened our community and driven us forward.

I am deeply grateful to the working group members who have dedicated countless hours to developing standards, conducting research, and promoting best practices. Your expertise and hard work have been instrumental in ensuring that our standards remain relevant and impactful in protecting public health and safety.

To the committee members, your efforts in participating in meetings, managing codes and standards, and overseeing various initiatives have been invaluable. Your dedication has enriched our society’s offerings and provided our members with opportunities for professional growth and development.

I also want to acknowledge the board of directors for its leadership and strategic guidance. Your commitment to our society’s mission and your ability to steer us through challenges have been critical to our progress. Your collaborative spirit and innovative thinking have laid a strong foundation for the future of our organization.

Finally, a special thank-you to our staff, whose tireless efforts behind the scenes have ensured the smooth operation of our society. Your professionalism, dedication and attention to detail have been vital in supporting our members and advancing our initiatives.

As I step down, I am confident that our society is in excellent hands. The collective strength, knowledge and passion of our members, working groups, committees, board and staff will continue to drive us toward new heights. I look forward to witnessing the continued success and growth of ASSE International. Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your president. It has been an unforgettable and rewarding experience.

Daniel Rademacher is International President of ASSE International and the Trades Education Network (VTEN) program manager for Viega. Rademacher has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and is an accomplished instructor with the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters and other industry organizations. In addition to being International President of ASSE, he also serves on its Product Standards and Professional Qualifications Standards Committees, among others. Rademacher is certified as a plumbing/mechanical inspector and plans examiner by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), and was IAPMO’s Industry Person of the Year in 2014. Rademacher has extensive experience using, implementing and interpreting the Uniform Plumbing Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code and International Fuel Gas Code. Prior to joining Viega, he had his own plumbing and mechanical code consulting firm in Butte, Montana.
