Dana Colombo

Dana Colombo, ASSE International President, was born and raised in New Orleans and is an active member of the ASSE Louisiana Chapter. Colombo’s career in the plumbing industry started when the company his father was working for hired him as a plumbers’ helper. Two years later, he started an apprenticeship with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60 in New Orleans. As an apprentice, he worked in all phases of the plumbing and mechanical industry. After completing his apprenticeship, he became a licensed journeyman plumber in 1988. From 1988 to 1998, he worked his way up to foreman and in 1998 he was hired by Local 60 to be an organizer. In 2007, Colombo took a position with NITC as a certified welding inspector.
