On Friday, Oct. 8, ASSE International presented its 2021 Annual Awards to individuals and chapters who have contributed to ASSE’s success and continued growth. Congratulations to each of the recipients! Fellow (FASSE) Awards
Presented to members for their dedication and service to the society.
Winners: Jaime Valdivia, Debbie Vukovich, and Paul Baker
Henry B. Davis Award
The Henry B. Davis Award is an annual merit award presented to a member who has contributed the most toward the advancement of sanitary engineering in accord with the ideals of the Society.
Winner: Douglas A. Marian
Salvatore J. Farruggia Presidential Award
Recipient is chosen by the outgoing International President, and presented to an individual who has contributed to the success of that President’s term in office.
Winner: Rich Prospal
Patrick J. Higgins Award
Presented to an individual who demonstrates knowledge and support of voluntary, consensus standards and their adoption into code.
Winner: Chris Haldiman, who said “It is a great honor for me to have received this award. I would like to emphasize that there are a lot of individuals that work on codes & standards in North America and I am just one. I could not do my part without their help. To modify the phrase ‘It takes a village,’ ‘It takes an industry’ to develop safe product standards and codes. My thanks go to everyone that helps.”
Rand Ackroyd Award
Presented to an individual who has expressed a thorough knowledge and true dedication to the ASSE backflow program, or the backflow and associated industry by their efforts in protecting our drinking water through cross-connection control and education.
Winner: Michael Eisenhauer
Most New Members Award
Presented to the chapter with the most new members.
Winner: California Chapter
Best Media Presence Award
Presented to the chapter with the most outstanding electronic member resources.
Winner: New York Chapter
